Additionally, please reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or suggestions about upcoming events, or just about Run Club in general!

Alex Dieterle / Junior / Vice President of Distance
Hi everyone! My name is Alex and I am excited to be your Vice President of Distance! I help out with
workout planning and our annual trip to Eau Claire for the half-marathon! I am a Junior from Champlin, MN, and I am majoring in mechanical engineering. I ran track and cross-country in high school and I think it is really cool that we get to run different races and distances in track and cross-country than in high school. I have met so many new friends through running and I think this club is a great opportunity to meet new people and explore off campus. Outside of running, I like to play basketball and do anything outside. |
Heather Wiehe / Senior / Vice President of Sprints
Howdy TURC! My name is Heather, and this will be my second year as your Vice President of Sprints/Field. I’m a Senior in the School of Nursing, and this will be my fourth year on the team! I am from Lake Elmo, Minnesota, and I started track and field in seventh grade. I specialize in 100m hurdles and short sprints/relays (though this year you may get the chance to watch me run some XC and attempt a steeplechase…senior year send? – don’t tell the distance runners, they’ll get big heads). My love for this team cannot be expressed enough through words, so join us to experience it yourself! You will see me at most of the TURC functions as well as behind the camera at most of our meets. Please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns in regards to TURC, the sprints and field team, or anything else that may come to mind. Don’t hesitate to say hi if you see me out and about! Peace and love beautiful people 🤟

Chris Stallard / Senior / Treasurer
Hi everyone! I’m Chris Stallard and I’m your treasurer! I’m currently a junior studying Chemical Engineering. I’m from Gaithersburg, Maryland (a suburb of Washington DC), so Minnesota winter running is definitely a big change. I run mostly longer distance events - cross country races, 3Ks during indoor, and 5Ks during outdoor, so I’m racing and training hard all year. Outside of running, I love pretty much all things outdoors - hiking, mountain biking, camping, you name it. If you have any questions about the club feel free to reach out to me!

Findlay Drabant / Junior / Race Team Director
Hi TURCeys! My name is Findlay and I’m super excited to be this year’s race team director. I’m from Milwaukee WI, and I’m going into my Junior year studying journalism and creative writing. while I ran both track and cross country in high school, distance running totally has my heart. You’ll find me at pretty much every single club event– from daily runs to meets to social events. Outside of club, I enjoy running and biking along the river, going to gopher games, exploring the cities, cooking new recipes, going to concerts, spending time with friends, taking pictures, and sticking my nose in a book. If you ever have any questions, or if you want to chat, don’t be a stranger :) (And if anything interesting ever happens at a meet that you think deserves mentioning in the race team recap, let me know! I love having informants;)

Jack Olson / Junior / Men's Distance Co-Captain
Yo! My name is Jack Olson, and I'm one of the Co-Men’s Distance Captains for the 2023-24 school year! I am from Chanhassen, Minnesota and am currently a Junior studying Finance. I have run Cross Country and Track since I was in 6th grade. I have been very fortunate to have run with and learn from some of the very best runners and coaches in Minnesota. I love to play lots of sports and last semester I played intramural basketball (3v3 + 5v5), volleyball, and soccer. I enjoy sports not only for the competitive aspect, but the team aspect as well! Many of my best friends have come from the teams I’ve been on. This has helped me realize that it will always be bigger than what shows up on the statsheet. Basketball and running are by far my two favorite sports and I also get consumed by watching them both. As you can see by my picture I am a huge wolves fan and if the wolves are in town there is a good chance I am at Target Center (shoutout to the $10 tix). Being a part of the Run Club has allowed me to make a lot of connections with people who are equally goal oriented as I am, pushing each other to be better. I am very glad I gave the club team a second shot my freshman year. I thought it would be nearly impossible to join the club so ‘late’, but they all welcomed me and I had the best track season of my life with their support. As one of the Men’s Distances Captains, I get to work alongside my fellow officers to make workouts/training plans for each season. A lot of work has gone into these plans as I, and the other officers, want you to be put in the best position possible to reach your goals. I am very open to talk about anything running or not running related!

Don’t be afraid to check out the practices or say hello! |

Anna Timme / Senior / Sprint & Field Captain
Hello lovely people! My name is Anna and I’m so excited to be the Sprints and Field Captain again this year. I’m originally from Mequon, WI (a suburb 20 mins north of Milwaukee) and went to Homestead High School. I ran cross country and track in high school but mostly stick to sprints now, usually running the 100m, 200m, and 4x1. You might catch me at some cross country meets but I will probably be cheering and taking pictures. I can also be found at most TURC social events. I’m currently a senior studying Aerospace Engineering and this is my fourth year with the club. Outside of school and TURC I really enjoy hanging with my friends (many of which I've made through TURC), going to Gopher sporting events, reading, and hiking. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or to just say hello :)

Connell Hagen / Junior / Apparel and Branding
Hello everybody! I’m Connell, the apparel and branding coordinator for this year. I’m a computer science student in my 3rd year this year. I have a lot less experience with running than most other TURCers, as I did not run in high school. However, between mostly being a sprinter freshman year, being a year-round distance runner last year, and working hard on my own to try to catch up to everyone else, my time with the club has caused me to get so much better very quickly! A very large chunk of my best college memories so far have also been from doing things with the club, whether it be a race, an event, or just joking around with friends I’ve made here. I hope I can serve you well this year with some quality/iconic apparel designs, so if you have a good suggestion, let me know on Discord and I’ll cook something up. PS: I may or may not have acquired my graphic design skills from running a Minecraft YouTube channel in middle school…

Elsie Dempsy-Rice / Junior / Social Media and Events Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Elsie and this will be my junior year and my 3rd year involved in TURC. I am your social media and social events coordinator, which describes me as a person pretty well as I am mainly in this club for the social aspect ;)
I love running and working out and have a lot of appreciation for this sport as a whole, but you’ll probably see me taking pictures and socializing a lot more than you’ll see me actually racing. I am currently studying advertising and photography (and a little bit of Spanish), and I am also an officer for the Brains and Brawn lifting club- so chances are you’ll run into me a lot on campus- don’t be afraid to say hi! In my spare time I like to travel and plan trips, spend time with my family, hit the dinkytown nightlife every once in a while, and go to as many concerts as my bank account allows for. I can’t wait to meet you all. RUSH TURC! |
Kristina Meiners / Junior / Travel Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Kristina, and I’m your Travel Coordinator for this year! I’m from the small town of Durand, Illinois, and I’m a junior studying civil engineering at the U. I ran cross country and track all through high school, and raced with the run club the last two years and loved it! I’ve made some of my closest friends and best memories through run club, and I am so glad I got involved with it. When I’m not running, I love going to gopher football games, biking, listening to music, collecting cool rocks, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and journaling. I look forward to seeing you all around at run club events & don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat!!

Antonio Guerrero Garcia / Sophomore / Community Outreach and Recruitment
Hello, I’m Antonio, your community outreach and recruitment coordinator! I’m from New Hope, Minnesota. I'm a sophomore studying chemical engineering and data science. I started running cross country and track my sophomore year of high school and raced my freshman year with the club. Even though I've only been with the run club for one year, some of my favorite collegiate and even lifetime memories are with the club. One of my favorite memories is playing rock-paper-scissors with goldy the gopher during one of our indoor meets(I lost 2-1).
I enjoy racing but more than that I love hanging out with people in the running club. During my freshman year I loved to go to our volunteering and fundraiser opportunities, especially the ones where we got to eat food and the run club would get a cut. Joining the run club has been the best decision I've made in college and I'm sure if you joined you would think the same. Also If you join the club you may also get a chance to play goldy in a match of rock-paper-scissors. Feel free to reach out to me with your questions and concerns! |
